Day 24. Soccer and the Dentist.

What a busy day. We woke up, read in bed and played a bit before heading to your first Dada and Sarah soccer class. You weren't quite sure of it but enjoyed the time with Dada. After we went to your first trip to the dentist, you were very nervous but by the time you were in the chair you were our brave little girl. You never fussed or cried, just layer there and let the dentist take a look and brush your teeth. He said you and Dada have been doing a great job brushing every morning and evening. As a treat Dada took you the the Mickey Mouse store for a prize then to get a corn dog while Mama met Ellen for lunch. Later we played at the neighbors and had man n cheese at the grocery store. It was a busy fun day.

You even greeted Luzia pant less, which of course made her want to go pant less too. The two of you played for hours in the play room. We ate lunch and played some more. In the afternoon we took Mama's car in for tires and spent our wait at the bouncy house, you of course had a wonderful time. You even got Mama to play in the balloon room, you loved when I chased you around and tackled you to the ground for a good tickle, I loved it too. We ate pizza got the car and went home just in time for bedtime, you were very tired and very happy.

We enjoyed the time with our swim buddies and a little time outside with the toys an slide. You picked out your sticker and instantly put it on your head, it stayed there until after your nap, I thought it was very cute. When we got home we ate lunch and played with puzzles. You are full of fun my love, always making me smile from ear to ear.

Day 27. Family Picture Day.

Your brother is due to come anytime now and is sure to change things around her a bit. I really wanted to take some family pictures to capture our family of three. Mr. Ross was kind enough to take the pictures for us. You were such a god girl and even when you didn't really feel like taking more pictures you were nice enough to pose like a perfect lady. He took some inside and then outside where without asking you reached over and gave Mason a big hug, it was my favorite picture. I know were all excited to meet Mason and welcome into our family photos but I will always be thankful for these pictures, capturing our family of three.

I've noticed that you get a little quite when there are a lot of boys around, any way I can get you to stay that way? Lyla and Ava came over and you perked up when you got to play with them. You are so good at sharing your toys and you are a wonderful host. The rest of the day was just you and I playing, it was a nice day

Day 32. Still sick.

You were still sick today so another day home in our pj's was in order. Dada worked all morning getting 2 raccoons out of the garage, apparently they spent the whole night locked inside! For all his hard work we made him some banana bread, you were a big help. You love the taste of raw flour so you helped your self to a little snack. It was another day of cuddles and mama time, I'm not minding this cold much.

We played a little in your room before finally making our way down stairs. Daddy took you on a walk when he got home and Uncle Gene came over to watch the game with Dada. Sadly it looks like your getting a cold.

Day 35. A Day at Grandmas.

Today is Saturday so it's Grandma day. Today you helped pick out a train with the letters to Mason's name, you did a great job. You played outside with your duckies and had a nice long nap. I was so excited to see you when you got home, the first thing you said was "Mason here?" "He be here in 5 minutes", thankfully you weren't right about that one. It must be a very long wait for you to meet your brother, we've been talking about it for so long I'm sure your thinking he'll never come out! We don't have to wait too much longer big sister. We ate dinner together, took a bath and off to bed. You woke up from a bad dream last night, I held you in the chair and we both fell back to sleep, it was lovely. I love you sweet girl.

Day 36. A Day with the Horsies.

Today we went to the horsies. This is one of your favorite things to do. We tried taking you on Wednesday but they were closed, Dada and I were so worried about how you were going to handle the disappointment but you were just fine, happy to go to the playground instead. So we made up for it today! We went around 4 times, played a while at the park before heading home for a nap. When we woke up we painted your pumpkin outside in the sunshine. It was a lovely day with just you and me.

Day 37. A day at home.

We spent most of the day at home today, just you and I. We did visit a preschool this morning and you had lots of fun. Teacher Vicky said your very confident, I love that, I hope you never loose that amazing quality. Your Dada and I try very hard to always make you feel as great as we know you are. The rest of the day was spent building castles, eating lunch together, an extra long nap and some of our favorite TV in Mama's bed, our special afternoon spot.

Day 38. A day with Dada

Before you were born Mama and Dada had Wednesday's off of work together, it was always our special day. Since Mama went back I've worked every Wednesday so you and Nanna and Dada could spend time together. Now that we're getting ready for Mason to arrive I get to enjoy our special day with my special family again. Today we went to the Randall Museum and played with bunnies and chickens and ducks then we played at the play ground. We ate mac n cheese at one of Mama and Dada's favorite restaurants before heading home for a nap. It was a beautiful day, thank you for letting me be a part of your and Dada's Wednesday.

Day 39. A day with your bestie

Today was a Luzia day. We met Luzia and Ellen at the "bouncy house" and you had a blast. The two of you have been friends since you were 2 weeks old, it is such a joy to see you play together. Your relationship has gone through each of your little stages and is at a special place of belly laughs, hand holding and lots of sweet hugs and kisses. You ran into a wall today, it left you in tears and with quite a bruised eye. Luzia rubbed your back and kissed your head to help you feel better, I hope for a life time of you two helping each other feel better, belly laughs and sweet hugs and kisses. Friends are so important, the loyalty and dedication you put into friendships will be one of the best things you'll do. I learned then value of friendship late in life, I want to show you how important they are early on so you are blessed with a lifetime of true friends.

Day 40. A lazy day at home

Today we did much of nothing. You went on a walk with Dada, mama met you half way to see how excited you were to see Ali the cat. When you got home and Dada left for work, you and I sat in the rocking chair and cuddled for a while. You were watching something on Mama's phone and I was enjoying the time with you. I was remembering all the times we sat on that chair together when you were a baby, you loved to sit there, looking outside while listening to the blow dryer running, it would calm you. Your such a busy little girl, I cherish the quite times when I can stare at your feet, rub your back and play with your hair. I hope you always know that Mama loves you and loves spending time with you. I'm sure it will feel I'm not always able to be there for you as you would like when Mason comes and I'm sorry for that. Mason will bring so much joy to your life, he will be there for you in ways no one else can be and as much as you two may fight and your relationship changes through out the years it will be the greatest gift we could give you, even if it doesn't feel like that at first. I will always be here for you and will find time for staring at feet and rubbing your back and playing with your hair. You are my sweet girl and I love you more then you'll know.

We went to swim class and grocery shopping after, your such a helpful shopper, always making sure we have Grover bars and Elmo crackers in our cart. We took a nap when we got home, watched some Mickey Mouse and Dora and played a while in your play room. We also spent some time playing with the trains in the living room. You ate dinner and then helped make Dada dinner, one of your favorite things to do. You had a bath, hated getting your hair washed as usual and then off to bed.

It was a routine day but made Mama very happy.

Day 41. Grandparents Day

Hello My Sweet Sarah,
Your brother is coming soon and your daddy and I are so excited to meet him, we hope you are too. There has been no greater joy then the time we've spent being your mama and dada, you are such a special girl in so many ways. We know you are going to be a great big sister, Mason is so lucky to have you. Our time together will change when little brother arrives, as we've talked about babies need a lot of attention from mama, dada and big sisters. Mama wants to remember all the special memories we make in the next few weeks.

Today is grandparents day so we took grandma to the Discovery Museum. It was so much fun. We started at the fish stream and then spent a lot of time in the tot spot, you really wanted to play with those ducks! We played with a train, a big dog named Clifford and a boat with fishing rods and lots of fish. We made music and enjoyed the sun. We spent some time at grandma's and finished the day with a dinner date with Dada. It was a special day all around.
